The cw10 filter cartridge contains an innovative filter medium made of activated carbon (Activated Carbon Composite ACC) with a special fiber to protect against contamination. Raw material for the activated carbon are coconut shells. The combination and the matrix used achieve a significant increase in filter effectiveness. Patent protected. Cartridge 4 combination cartridge micromembrane filter with carbon block cw40
Filter fineness micro membrane 0.1 µm, carbon block 0.8 µm

In addition to the carbon block, a hollow-fiber membrane with an absolute filter fineness of 0.1 micrometers is integrated as an after-filter. The membrane meets the microbiological requirements of the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). The membrane shows a very low pressure loss at high capacity due to an extremely large surface structure. These are suitable as germ barriers with a reduction of at least 6-log levels (i.e. >99.9999%) to prevent nests of germs, biofilm formation etc.. Further practical tests of the cw40 replaceable filter [0.8 µm carbon block with terminal 0.1 µm MF Membrane] were carried out by an independent laboratory and the effectiveness was confirmed.

The membrane meets the microbiological requirements of the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Important instructions

To ensure that you remain on the safe side in terms of hygiene, taste and quality, we recommend changing or refilling the filter media as follows:

cw10 - semi-annual
cw20 - semi-annually
cw50 - can be refilled every 24 months
cw40 - semi-annually

CHANGE TIMES & FILTER PERFORMANCE
max. 6 months / up to 6,000 l
The change period of max. 6 months is recommended for hygienic reasons and is specified by DIN 1988/DIN EN 1717. However, an early change within this period may be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced. This is not a defect in the filter used, but rather an indication of an increased occurrence of fine particles in unfiltered water.

CARE/MAINTENANCE
The filter housing is largely maintenance-free. Cleaning with a soft cloth and detergent is recommended every time you change the filter cartridge. Mechanical function and wear parts (seals, valves, hoses, etc.) must be checked.
