Micromembrane / activated carbon combination cartridge for water filter CASCADA BLUE
This combination cartridge combines three processes in one cartridge: classic filtering, adsorption and membrane filtration.
1: Particles (> 5 μm) are removed through a fine-pored activated carbon block filter
2: substances capable of binding such as lead, copper, pesticides and drug residues are removed by adsorption. The activated carbon safely removes chlorine, reduces shear metals (see also blue 20 wasserhaus24 - activated carbon replacement cartridge blue 20 (gambiocloud.com)) and improves the taste of the drinking water.
3: The following microfiltration with a pore size of 0.15 μm (!) Reduces microorganisms and finely soluble (colloidal) particles to a minimum.

The filter cartridge has to be changed after 6 months (according to DIN EN 806-5, Appendix A). In principle, up to 3000 liters of water can be filtered within 6 months. However, an earlier change may be necessary if water flow is noticeably reduced. This is not a defect in the filter used, but rather an indication of an increased occurrence of fine particles in unfiltered water.
